Squished and Pinched

Max woke up in total darkness. Where the hell was he? Raeg had hit him! Why? There was sound nearby, conversations everywhere. It was like there were people all around him, except he couldn't see them. Should he call out for Raeg? That seemed... unwise. But what else could he do? Just wait?

His eyes were open. That much he was sure of, because he had no eyelids. So what had the barbarian done... wrap him in a sheet? He felt woozy, which made sense after being punched to death, and cramped, as if he'd been shoved inside of something.

Wait...

There had been laundry baskets there along the river bank. He'd seen them. Raeg must have punched him until he died and stuffed his bones into a basket.

Why not just tell him the plan? They really needed to work on their communication.

If he used his stats... would it come up? It did.

Green light filled the space, showing the inside of a woven basket. He'd been right, but that was small comfort given his situation. Hopefully, none of the many people having conversations nearby would notice a green shine from inside the basket.
